Jiwok Retro Music: Hit the road Jack!
Post in GeneralAs you may know by now, we get a bit nostalgic here once in a while at Jiwok, and like to remind you of older songs you may not have previously considered adding to your running playlist or Jiwok training program.
Well here’s a little gem for you: Ray Charles’ classic ‘Hit the Road Jack’ could not be more apt a tune for that long running road ahead. It has a good tempo for a medium running pace, and is just a fun song with a great beat.

Motivational Monday song: ‘Moving on Up’ by M People
Post in General, Mp3 WorkoutsEveryone needs a little motivating on Mondays.
Wherever you are the weather should be getting warmer by now (shouldn’t it?), which means the excuses to go outside and run should be getting fewer and far between.
But, if you’re still struggling to don those trainers and need a little push, this song could be just the ticket.
Keeping in line with our retro music selections, we’ve chosen a hit from the 90′s you may remember if you were a disco queen (or king), a Mancunian (as the band is from Manchester), or you may remember it from the hilarious film ‘The Full Monty’ (an american version of the film is set to star Zac Efron which seems, well, bizarre?)

Best Retro Running Song
Post in General20 years ago this classic, house music track was released, and it remains one of our favorite songs to run to.
With elements of disco, funk, and hip-hop, it is a good dancing tune as well (even more fun on Singstar, if you’re brave enough!) A great song to add to your playlist for your Jiwok training program.
